The Beer Review Journal is the first social network specifically for beer lovers. Share your ratings and reviews of your favorite (or least favorite) beers with your friends and the rest of the online, beer-loving community. Discover new beers based on what your friends like, what's similar to what you like, and what is brewed in your region.

The Beer Review Journal is for all beer lovers

You don't have to be a connoisseur or an expert to use to The Beer Review Journal. All we ask is that you love beer and that you be over 18. As long as your comments are on topic and don't constitute spam, harassment, or hate speech, they'll be welcome here. As long as you aren't shamelessly promoting your own beer, we won't question your ratings either.

Find your Favorite Beers

There are many ways for you to find your favorite (or least favorite) beers in our database of beers. You can perform a search. Or, from the "Browse beer" page, you can choose beers based on their tags, page through the alphabetical list of all beers, browse beers by country, breweries by country, an alphabetical list of all breweries, or search the brewery map. Each brewery page includes a list of beers made by that brewery. Most brewery and beer charts are sortable. Click on the column titles to re-sort the chart. You can sort by "Average Rating", for instance, to find the top beers overall, or from a given country or brewery.

Rate, Review, Tag, and Submit Beers

There are four ways for you to provide your input.

  1. Rate It. Each beer has a five-star rating system. Click on the top row of stars to cast your vote. Your top ten beers will appear in your profile.
  2. Review It. Each beer page has a comment box. Detailed, in-depth reviews are certainly welcomed, but not required. If you have something to say about a particular beer, write it there. Your most recent comments will appear in your profile.
  3. Tag It. Every beer has a field where you can add your categories or "tags". You can describe the style of beer or any relevant attributes. Tags provide another way to organize the beer database and a means for identifying similarities between different beers, all based on your input. You can browse beers by tags from the tag cloud.
  4. Submit It. If your favorite beer or brewery isn't listed here, please submit that beer or brewery.
